Puccini's Il Trittico

Kingsbury Hall

Performed by University Lyric Opera Ensemble and Utah Philharmonia
Puccini’s Il Trittico consists of three one-act operas that each tell the story of ordinary people searching for happiness, culminating with a turning point in each characters’ life. Il Tabarro and Suor Angelica are tragedies, with stories of jealous love and poignant grief. The third opera, Gianni Schicchi, brings comedic antics to show a lighter side to life. With Puccini’s soaring arias and performances by the School of Music’s talented opera students, Il Trittico is sure to inspire.
